Flowers at the Funeral, Yes or No
Over the years numerous people have told us that they would rather have donations made to charity than flowers at their funeral. It does not mean that there won’t be any flowers at the funeral, just that floral tributes will be limited to immediate family and everyone else is invited to make a donation to charity. We have arranged with Eltham Crematorium for a card to be displayed with the floral tributes they receive to advise the mourners that their donations have been received by the Hospice.
All donations that the Hospice receive in this way are recorded to the memory of your loved one and are acknowledged with a personal thank you letter.
Asking family and friends to make donations to the Hospice instead of sending flowers is a wonderful way to help make a difference to the lives of those suffering with a life-limiting illness and their families, now and in the future. What better tribute to the life and memory of your loved one?
If you would like Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice to receive donations in lieu of floral tributes at your loved ones funeral, please call 020 8319 9230 or email info@gbch.org.uk or visit the Hospice Reception at 185 Bostall Hill, Abbey Wood, SE2 0GB and ask for some donation envelopes.
