Carers' Support
If you are caring for a family member or friend who has a life-limiting illness then you may benefit from support. You may wish to attend a group to meet others in similar circumstances and with similar concerns. You will get the chance to talk and to listen, receive support and ask our doctors and nurse specialists any questions you may have and find out more about the other services available at the Hospice. The Carers Group is set up in response to need and takes place at the same time as Stepping Stones, so your loved one can be cared for while you receive support from others. Everyone is welcome to attend; you do not need to book, simply turn up.
For further details contact the Counselling Department on 020 8320 5829 or email counselling@gbch.org.uk If your enquiry is urgent or we do not respond within three working days, please telephone 020 8312 2244 and ask to speak to a counsellor.
As a carer, you may prefer to access individual support which is also available by contacting us as above.
