Chaplaincy Team

All Hospice staff recognise that people have spiritual needs and that at difficult times people may require additional support with these.  Our Chaplaincy Team is an integral part of our service.  At present it comprises of representatives of a variety of Christian denominations, however we have developing links with representatives of other faith communities in the Boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley.

There is a weekly service held in the Haven (a quiet space for prayer and reflection), which is located adjacent to the Bluebell Room.  Everyone is invited to attend and should you have a particular need, services can be arranged for you and your loved ones at other times.  We also offer Holy Communion, personal prayers, prayers at the bedside and special services.  A dedicated ablution facility is available adjacent to the Bluebell Room, please make use of these facilities as you require.

If you wish, there is a designated book located in the Haven for you or your loved ones to write in a personal prayer or reflection.

If you require any special assistance or have any concerns of a spiritual nature, please do not hesitate to speak to the Nurse in Charge or Coordinating Chaplain.

Caring for family and friends is just as important as caring for the patient.
