Community News & Events

Without the support of the local community as a whole, we would be unable to offer our specialist palliative care services to those who require it.  We present events throughout the year enabling us to raise the funds needed to offer our care.  These are just a few of the ways you can support our work:

Outdoor Fairs and Fundays – support these by providing and running a stall or attraction to raise funds for the Hospice.

  • Tea @ 3 and ‘Go Yellow’ events – enjoy a simple cuppa and donate to the Hospice or host an event during Hospice Awareness Month in June.  With sunflowers being the national emblem for hospices, yellow themed events and tea parties will take place all over the country.  FREE party packs, full of ideas for your event are available.

Help is always needed in the form of marshalling, setting up, clearing away, driving, distributing publicity or loading and unloading one of the Hospice vans at an event.

Or maybe you could organise your own event to support the work of the Hospice.  Some suggestions are a Race Night, Quiz Night, Pamper Evening, Murder Mystery Night, Fashion Show, Barn Dance, Wine Tasting Evening, Cake Sale or a Coffee Morning; the list is endless.

Contact the Fundraising Department on 020 8319 9230 or email info@gbch.org.uk for more information or to ask them to help you plan and assist you with your event.

Caring for family and friends is just as important as caring for the patient.
