Day Care

Regular respite care can be provided at the Hospice in our Day Care facility.  Day Care provides a social environment for the patient as well as giving us the opportunity to review their needs and care.  Some treatments such as changing dressings, infusions and blood tests can be carried out while the patient attends Day Care.  Patients will also have direct access to other support services such as occupational therapy or physiotherapy as required.

If the patient is unable to get to the Hospice under their own steam, transport can be arranged.  Our volunteer drivers use their own cars or the Hospice mini bus.

A place in Day Care will usually be offered for one day a week.

All care, therapies, meals and transport are provided free of charge.
