Get Involved
There are many, many ways you can support the work of your Hospice. Here are just a few suggestions:
- make a one-off gift or set up a regular payment via direct debit or standing order
- make a donation of clothing, bric-a-brac, furniture or electrical item at one of our shops
- shop at any one of our 14 shops throughout Greenwich and Bexley boroughs
- come along to one of our many local events
- organise your own event - we can help you do this
- take a collection box for your home or workplace
- get your club, pub or community group to support us
- ask your employer to join our business partnership
- take part in one of our challenge events
- sign up for our lottery or buy a single ticket for the chance to win great cash prizes
- make a gift to us in your Will
- set up a tribute fund in memory of a loved one
- your time and skills can really help our work, why not consider volunteering
- Gift Aid - for every £1 donated to us in money or goods we can claim 25p back from the tax man.
What your support means to us
£25 provides a patient on our inpatient unit with lunch for a week
£50 supports the cost of transporting day care patients to the Hospice
£100 funds a visit by one of our community nurses
£250 funds a course of counselling sessions for a bereaved relative
£500 will enable our nurses to care for one person at the end of their life in their own home
£1,000 supplies the inpatient unit with medicines for five days
£5,000 will sponsor a community nurse for a month supporting around 25 people and helping them to spend their last days or weeks at home, in familiar surroundings with family and friends.
