Volunteers celebrate 25 years of volunteering

10 May 2011

Long-serving volunteers Pam and Alf Lilley, Ron Smith and Joan White who have supported the charity since it was founded in 1985, were joined for a 'Thank You' afternoon tea by Hospice Chief Executive Kate Heaps, Vice Chairman Paula Keats, Hospice Trustee and Company Secretary, Gerald Peters and members of the volunteer and fundraising teams.

Flowers, thank you cards and cut glass commemorative bowls were presented to the volunteers by Kate Heaps who thanked the volunteers for their important contribution over the charity’s 25 year history.  "We're using this milestone as an opportunity to thank supporters as well as to reach out to new supporters in the local area,” said Kate. “I really can’t thank our volunteers enough.”
