Asda Bexleyheath Funday

Asda Bexleyheath welcomed Community Fundraiser Susan Adams when she popped in to meet colleagues to thank the store for its £3,000 donation towards this year’s popular fundraiser, the Hospice Funday. Susan was accompanied by David Carmichael from one of Funday’s star attractions, Tan'Gun Taekwondo.

Funday takes place on Sunday 17 July at Bostall Heath Playing Field, Abbey Wood between 1 pm and 5 pm.

The annual event, billed as a ‘big afternoon out for all the family’ will feature a BBQ, bucking bronco, beer & Pimms tent, live music, Punch & Judy, inflatables, children’s fairground rides and classic cars. It will be opened at 1 pm by Andy Day presenter of CBeebies in association with Tan’Gun Taekwondo.

Asda store manager, Glenn Reis, said: “We’re supporting the Funday because the Hospice is a local charity which touches the lives of many of our customers and colleagues. It’s our pleasure to be able to help out and I hope it raises lots of funds for the Hospice.”

Last year the event raised over £10,000 for Hospice services.

I cannot thank you enough for the outstanding care given to me, my family and of course my husband before he died. You are all angels.
