15 July 2011
Julia said: “I couldn’t believe it when Stacey Booth from the Hospice called me up to give me the good news. This is the first time I have ever won anything of this size. I still can’t quite believe it.” Julia and husband Derrick are planning to treat their family with the winnings. “Our three children are growing up fast so it’s nice to be able to treat them,” she said.
“Winning the prize is wonderful but we're so pleased to hear that such an amazing sum has been raised for such a worthy cause. We’re delighted to support a charity that offers to make a real difference to families at a time when there is a real need.
“We're both so happy with the news. This win couldn’t have come at a better time.”
Stacey Booth, Lottery Manager said: "We are delighted for Julia. She really is a lovely lady and such a worthy bumper draw winner. Thanks to the support of Julia and people like her, our Silver Anniversary Bumper Draw has raised a fantastic £25,972 towards Hospice services."
