Allotment Family Fun Day raises £385

Over 200 people attended the event to enjoy a barbeque of local produce and to shop for homemade cakes, jams, chutneys and wine.

The serious part of the afternoon was the judging of the allotment owner’s fruit and vegetable harvest.  

Julie Lawrie-Raison, Hospice Community Fundraiser presented the prizes with the best plot awarded to Mrs Barrilone who has held the title for the past five years. “It was a fantastic afternoon,” said Julie.  

All the fresh fruit and vegetable produce was donated to the Hospice and £385 was raised towards our services.
