Mayor of Greenwich and Hospice Fundraiser David Millen

Mayor Jim Gillman who has been a member of Shooters Hill Golf Club on Eaglesfield Road for over 30 years said: “It was a glorious day and a wonderful way of raising money for the hospice. I’m really grateful that so many people turned up to support it.”

Hospice fundraiser David Millen said: “It was a fantastic day and we’re so grateful to the Mayor for making us his charity for his year in office.”

The Mayor announced Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice as his charity of the year at his official inauguration on 25 May 2011 and has a number of fundraising events planned throughout 2011/12 from dog walks, afternoon teas and quiz nights to concerts and garden parties.
