Organisational Structure
The Hospice is governed by a Board of Trustees and managed by a Senior Management Team. The Board of Trustees is made up of volunteers with particular experience, skills and expertise in a variety of fields and is led by a Chairman. The Board Members are named below:

The Senior Management Team is led by a Chief Executive and has seven other members each with specific responsibilities:
Kate Heaps, Chief Executive - Responsible for overseeing all of the Hospice, ensuring that our resources are used as effectively and efficiently as possible and that the Hospice continues to respond to the needs of the community that we serve.
Sally Bateson, Fundraising Director - Overall responsibility for the fundraising team, overseeing the budget and strategy of the department. She represents the fundraising team at Board, Finance and Senior Management Meetings.
Penny Jones, Director of Care Services - Overall management and leadership responsibility for the effective operational running of the Hospice’s clinical services to ensure the highest possible standard of patient care and to ensure services are developed to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Harjit Landa, Financial Controller - Overall management of the Hospice finances both internally and externally, oversees all departmental budgets, income and expenditure and provides detailed reports for the Finance and Board meetings.
Jane Lundy, Head of Human Resources - Responsible for ensuring the highest standard of Human Resources and volunteer management, ensuring that legal and statutory requirements are met whilst driving improvements in quality of service delivery.
Dr Brendan O’Neill, FRCP, Senior Consultant in Palliative Medicine - Leads the medical team in providing specialist pallaitive care to patients in all settings, working in partnership with health care professionals in primary and secondary care including providing teaching and training, maintaining up to date medical practice.
Betty Sorrell, Retail Manager - Responsible for overseeing the management of 15 shops and a logistics department across the two boroughs, while raising the profile of the Hospice and much needed income from the community.
Sue Smyth, PA to the Chief Executive - Provides secretarial support and assistance to the Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees, acting on their behalf when necessary, line manages a team of administrative secretaries and leads on specific projects for the Chief Executive.
