Pain & Symptom Control
When people have advanced illness, they sometimes experience a range of symptoms; these might include pain and/ or other symptoms such as loss of appetite, feeling or being sick, bowel and bladder disturbances, changes to breathing patterns, anxiety or low mood, difficulty sleeping, changes in sexual function, itching or sweating. Symptoms may be minor and short lived or more difficult to control.
Our staff are specially trained to assist you if you experience any problems, we will ask you about your symptoms and work out a plan with you (and your carer if this is important to you) to try to improve how you are feeling.
If you have any concerns or want to talk about a problem and how it is affecting you, please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of the team.
