Respite Care

Shornells provides a social environment for you, as well as giving the opportunity to review your needs and care. Attending day care can also give your carer a regular break from the day to day responsibilities of caring. We can carry out some treatments in Day Care rather than you receiving these elsewhere, for example dressings, some infusions and blood tests. Whilst at Shornells, you will have direct access to other Hospice services.

If you are unable to get to the Hospice under your own steam, transport can be arranged. Our volunteer drivers use their own cars or we may suggest the Hospice mini bus.

All your care, therapies, meals and transport are provided free of charge.
