The Hospice was incredibly honoured to be presented with the Tony Denison Award at the CRASH Annual Patrons’ Reception on Thursday 6th September 2018. CRASH are the construction industry charity, whose Patrons give their expertise and grants to charities who need help with building projects. CRASH helped us earlier this year with our kitchen refurbishment, giving us a much-needed grant and advice. They are also working with us to create a new extension to our dining room with the help of CRASH Patrons Volker Fitzpatrick.

The Award is for an outstanding commitment to helping people and is in honour of Tony Denison, the founder of CRASH, who died in 2012.

Francesca Roberts, Chief Executive of CRASH says: ‘‘We were particularly impressed by the team work at the hospice and the organisation and driving force provided by Michael Power their facilities Manager.  Each member of the hospice team, from Brian the Chef, to Louise their Fundraiser, to Kate their CEO played to their strengths and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them.’’

“We are really happy to receive this award and to know that our team made the project process as easy as it could be,” says Kate Heaps, the CEO of the Hospice.
