With Christmas just around the corner, Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice is searching for a very special person to join them this Christmas season. This special person is Father Christmas himself.

Santa and one of his elves outside the Greenwich Market Grotto. The Hospice, which has run the very popular Broadway Shopping Centre Grotto for a number of years, is looking for a couple more Father Christmases to work alongside their existing Christmas team.

The Hospice will be holding Christmas Open Days at the Hospice in Abbey Wood on Wednesday 24th October  and on Friday 2nd November between 11am and 3pm for anyone interested to drop in, meet the team, enjoy a cup of tea and find out more about the Santa role and the Hospice’s other Christmas activities.

“We’d love to hear from anyone out there who is interested in working as Father Christmas. We are flexible when it comes to hours and times Santa works,” Hospice Event Manager Augusta Adu told us. “So if there are any grandads, uncles or dads out there who want to bring the magic of Christmas alive to the thousands of children who visit our Grotto, as well as earn a bit of extra money this Christmas and then please ask them to get in touch.”

Since 2014, the Grotto has raised more than £150,000; this has allowed Hospice nurses to provide their tailored and compassionate care and support to hundreds of local patients and their families.
