An urgent appeal for your support

The scale of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) crisis is unprecedented and is having a significant impact on our ability to raise funds. We have had to cancel or postpone most of our fundraising events and our shops are closed. Because of this, we are expecting a huge shortfall in our funding over the coming months.

It costs £23,000 a day to run the Hospice so that our amazing nurses and doctors can care for the local people who desperately need us. We simply cannot sustain this. We need your help. Please, if you can, make a donation today to ensure that we can continue to provide vital care for some of the most vulnerable people in our community. In the coming months, our nurses, doctors and other staff will be needed more than ever as the health service faces the biggest challenge it has ever seen.

Your Hospice nurses, doctors and staff, are doing the impossible. Not only are they continuing to care for people with compassion, kindness and expertise but responding to the Covid-19 crisis in extraordinary ways.

It’s early days in this pandemic, but we are already helping so many more people. We typically provide care to over 400 patients with a critical illness at any time. Many of them will be in the last few months of their lives. This week, we are caring for almost 700 patients and we expect this to increase.

Please donate today to help save Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, your hospice. Please give whatever you can afford – and then spread the word and urge everyone you know to do the same. We need you now, more than ever.
