Wear a Christmas jumper (or other festive attire) and make a donation to support Hospice care this Christmas.

This is a really simple way to help make sure local people with a terminal illness have the Christmas of their Choice this year.

So pull on your favourite festive knit and donate! Even better, get friends, family and colleagues involved too!

For information on all of our festive fundraising events taking place throughout December, visit our Christmas page.

It’s everyone’s favourite tradition – the Christmas Jumper!

Last Christmas, many of us spent time apart from our loved ones and went without those traditions that make our Christmas feel special. We had no choice. This year, embrace the cosiest tradition and get your friends, colleagues and family to wear their Christmas Jumper to help the families we are supporting to have the Christmas of their choice, making memories and spending precious time together.

Whether you want to just wear your jumper or you want to hold your own event – thank you for your support. 6 out of 10 people we help are supported thanks to fundraising activities like our Christmas Jumper Day.

If you have worn your jumper and would like to donate your £2 – you can donate online here.

Want to hold your own event in your office? Simply ask colleagues and friends to donate £2 to wear their Christmas Jumper on 10th December! We have lots of posters and resources you can use to promote your event. Simply register below and we will be in touch!

Want to hold a Jumper Day in your school? We can send you posters and collection boxes to help collect donations from the children and staff in your school. We are also always available to come in and talk about the money raised at an assembly – just give us a call on 020 8319 9230 if this would be of interest.

10th December not work for you? You can hold your event throughout December on whatever day works for you!

How do I donate to Christmas Jumper Day?

Donating for Christmas Jumper Day is easy! Simply donate £2 to the Hospice. You can make your donation on our event page here. Holding an event in your school or workplace? Why not set up a JustGiving page and get everyone to donate to the page so you can see how much you can all raise! If you’d like to collect money in person you can email us at team@gbch.org.uk to request a collection box.

How can I get my money to you?

If you are fundraising as a group and you’ve set up a JustGiving page the money will come to the Hospice automatically! There isn’t anything that you need to do.

To pay in your donation you can simply go to our donate page here and pay it in online – please make sure to include that its your Christmas Jumper Day donation so we can link it back to you and say thank you for your incredible efforts

Call us on 020 8319 9230 to make a card payment on the phone or to transfer your money directly into our bank account

Drop off your money at the Hospice or send a cheque – please make any cheque payable to Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice and make sure to include a note saying who you are and what you have done so we can send you a thank you!

I can’t do 10th December, can we do another date?

You can wear Christmas jumper at any time in December! In fact, if you are organising your own event the posters in our kit have a special space for you to pop your date on so you can hold it whenever it is convenient for you.

Do we have to wear a Christmas Jumper?

Of course not! You can wear anything festive. Why not experiment with making a current jumper Christmas-y with tinsel and lights? Or you could ask people to donate double to get out of wearing a jumper on the day!

Where can I get a Christmas Jumper?

Why not visit one of our shops across Greenwich and Bexley to pick up a jumper that you can upcycle into a Christmas Jumper or have a look to see if you can spot any festive items.

We’ve held our own Christmas Jumper Day as a group – can we get a certificate?

We will send out a certificate with your total to all our Christmas jumper wearers in January – this just gives you (and us) time to make sure all your fundraising has come in so we can ensure your total is correct!

I’d like to hold a Christmas Jumper Day in my school or workplace, what fundraising materials can you send me?

Everyone who signs up automatically get a little guide to holding a Christmas Jumper Day, some shareable graphics for your social media and emails and some posters for you to print and put around the office. We send everything by email, but if you’d like a physical cardboard collection box please get in touch with us and we can get some over to you.
