Lights of Love 2021

Whether recently lost, or someone that has not been with us for many years, it’s so important that we take the time to remember those who may not be with us in person.

The Hospice has a very special tradition to remember loved ones over the festive period. We come together and light up our tree - each light symbolising a lost loved one. To see all the lights shining and to know each one has been dedicated to remember someone, is deeply moving. This year, our Lights of Love service will once again, be online and we very much hope you will join us.

For information on all of our festive fundraising events taking place throughout December, visit our Christmas page.

Our Lights of Love service premiered on Sunday 5th December, however you can still watch the service at a time to suit you. You can watch the service with family and friends on our YouTube channel.

The service is for everyone, not just people whose loved ones were cared for by the Hospice. Please do share with friends and family.

Add your Light of Love to our virtual tree

One of the ways you can remember the life of someone special is to dedicate a light in their memory on our virtual Christmas tree. This year our tree is available online, meaning you can add a photo and share your dedication with friends and family.

With your online dedication, if you can, please make a donation in your loved one’s honour. Your gift will help families create special memories together.

There is still time to add your dedications, as the tree will remain online until next Summer.

Please note: Any dedications placed on the virtual tree after 5pm on Wednesday 1 December will not appear in the Lights of Love online service. All dedications can be viewed on the virtual tree.
