Christmas is a time of celebration and sharing, but it can also be a difficult time of the year if you are missing someone special. We invite you join us in a very special Hospice tradition.
Every year people across Greenwich & Bexley join together to remember their loved ones by dedicating a light on the Hospice Christmas tree in their memory. Each of these lights symbolises a loved one no longer with us. The lights will be switched on during our Light up a Life events and will shine bright throughout the festive season. To see all of these lights shining, and to know that each one has been dedicated to remember someone special is deeply moving.
We will hold two services, both on Saturday 23rd November. The first will start at 4.30pm, following our Christmas Fair (which starts at 1pm and of course, we’d love you to attend that too!). The second will be held at 7pm. Both will be led by our Hospice Chaplain and will include readings, carols and prayers; the events are open to everyone regardless of faith or culture. Everyone receives a warm welcome and we will be on hand to listen and support you if needed.
