Why we want you

Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice have 15 shops across the boroughs. We are very lucky have lots of books donated but not all of them can fit in to our shops, so we use a platform called Shopiago to sell them online. By scanning and researching donated books you will help raise much needed funds for the hospice so that we can continue to support local people with life limiting illness.

What you will be doing

  • Scan book barcodes with a Shopiago reader
  • Pack suitable books in to a box, ready for delivery to Shopiago
  • Research higher value books to see if we can sell them for more online (these will then be passed to our Product Lister to sell online)

Full training will be provided.

The skills and qualities you need

  • Computer literate
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • A passion for books or experience of selling online would be an advantage

  • Connect with like-minded volunteers and become part of a friendly team
  • Learn new skills and gain more confidence
  • Enjoy a rewarding experience and make a meaningful difference to people in your community
