Stock Processing Volunteer

Why we want you 

Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice shops are an excellent way for the community to support the hospice through shopping, donating and volunteering. As well as raising much needed funds for the hospice, they also help raise our profile in the community, enabling people to learn more about how we support people with life limiting illness.  

What you will be doing 

Tasks include: 

  • Sorting donated items in to various categories 
  • Identifying unsaleable donations for recycling 
  • Hanging and tagging clothing and other items 
  • Ensuring the stock room is clean and tidy 
  • Moving and handling donations 

The skills and qualities you need  

  • Ability to work well in a team 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Reliable & trustworthy 
  • Reasonably physically fit as there is lots of moving around

Time Commitment

 One shift of 2 to 4 hours per week (or more if you have the time!) for a minimum of 3 months 

 

Please Note: You need to be over 18 years olds to volunteer in our shops
