Our lottery is a great way to support the Hospice with a regular donation, making sure that our vital work can continue, whilst being in with the chance to win £1,000 every single week!
It’s so easy to play, for just £1 per entry you could be in with the chance of winning the £1,000 lottery jackpot, 20x£10 or up to £10,000 in our rollover draw.
All the profit from each lottery draw will go straight to supporting the hospice and providing care and support for everyone that needs us. Only around a third of our funding comes from the NHS – so without support from our community and generous supporters like you, we couldn’t be there for patients, their families and carers when they need us most. Your support makes a huge difference - thank you!
Over 40p of every lottery £1 is spent directly on our hospice care services, the remainder goes on prize money, administration and spreading the word about our lottery. (F/Y 2022-2023 the profit for the year £175,591)
The exact likelihood of winning a prize in this lottery is determined each week and is dependent on the eventual number of entries. The number of entries that were entered into the draw on Friday 1st March 2024 was 7,411. This means that for this particular draw, there was a 1 in 336 chance of winning ANY prize. To encourage a higher Rollover prize, we have a pre-set 6% chance of it being won. However, as the number is randomly selected, it can still be won any week.
On joining the Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice you will be allocated a unique lottery number(s). Winning numbers are selected from the unique game numbers of all players entering the draw by using licensed Random Number Generator (RNG) software (Carnsoftware Ltd).
The number of entries in the lottery will probably change over time, meaning that the likelihood of winning a prize will change each week, as it is determined by the eventual number of entries each week.
