Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice are concerned to ensure that the wellbeing of our patients, their family and friends, staff and volunteers is our first priority and so we are following National advice and guidance about Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Today we have taken the difficult step of limiting visitors to patients who are currently in our inpatient unit. Patients will be restricted to one nominated individual, who will be encouraged to support  contact with other loved ones via telephone and video call.

Please understand this decision has not been taken lightly and is to protect all patients, our staff and volunteers.

<< If you are a nominated visitor, please click here for guidance on visiting the Hospice >>

Thank you for your co-operation and helping to keep our patients, staff and volunteers safe. Please do not hesitate to contact Kate Heaps, Chief Executive or Ellen Tumelty, Matron if you have any concerns or questions.

Thank you

Your Community Hospice

Offering free compassionate care and support, for people with terminal illnesses, their families, and their carers.

Our care

We provide care and support in people’s own homes and care homes, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich, and at the Hospice in Abbey Wood.

'Before being referred to the Hospice I hadn’t left my house in two years and felt lonely and depressed. Now I’m attending Day Hospice and feel content to be supported in such a wonderful environment.'
