Wellbeing

At Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, we want you to live as well as you can for as long as you can. Our Wellbeing Hub looks after the whole of you, and those that care for you. Take a look at the available sessions to see if any might help you and get in touch.

For more information on any of our wellbeing groups, or to book or register your interest in any of our services, please contact the Rehabilitation and Wellbeing Team at rehab@gbch.org.uk, or call 020 8312 2244.

Helping you to work on what matters most to you through physiotherapy and occupational therapy here at our gym

Our rehabilitation service is run by Allied Health Professionals. This includes an experienced physiotherapist, occupational therapist and speech and language therapist. They work with individuals both on our inpatient unit and in our outpatient gym. If you attend our outpatient sessions, the team will work with you over a series of up to six sessions on what matters most to you.

The aim of rehabilitation is to improve your quality of life through maximising physical and functional independence for as long as possible, helping you to achieve goals that are important to you, and reducing distressing symptoms that are stopping you doing the things that you want to be able to do. This might be through exercise, learning new ways to do things, or by using equipment to help you.

You can be referred to the rehabilitation team here by any health or social care professional, such as your GP or nurse.
