Why is it important to make a Will

Now more than ever, we are aware of the importance of making a Will and expressing our final wishes. This can be a massive help to our family and loved ones at a time when they are dealing with huge practical tasks as well as their grief; and gives piece of mind, knowing that your final wishes are being honored.

Writing a Will is also an opportunity to appoint a legal guardian for any dependents under 18 years old that you may have care of, and a Will can ensure your estate is dealt with in the way you choose.

Your family always come first

We understand your family and friends always come first.  Once you have provided for loved ones, please consider remembering the hospice in your Will.

You can leave any percentage or sum of money to a charity in your Will and every gift makes a difference, regardless of size.

This will help our patients and their families make the most of their time together.  It is a great way to invest in your local community and guarantee the future of hospice care for your friends and family for many years to come.  It also helps keep your memory alive in the hearts of those close to you.

What does the hospice mean to you?

The hospice means so much to so many people.  This is reflected in the passion and dedication of those who work and volunteer for us.  It is also wonderfully reflected in the generosity of those who help fund it.  Larger gifts are wonderful but we realise that this does not happen often. We very much rely on the combined power of many gifts to have the same effect. Every penny gifted to us through someone’s Will is greatly appreciated.

1 in 6 of our patients are cared for thanks to people who remembered the hospice in their Will.
