What is spiritual care?
Spiritual care is about sharing a journey and supporting people in their hopes, fears, dreams, goals and beliefs. If you would find it helpful to talk, please contact our Hospice Chaplaincy Service – for people with faith or with no faith.
At the Hospice
You can take time, on your own or with others, to sit and reflect.
Our Quiet Room is a space for everyone – somewhere you can sit and be still, light a candle, pray, read, write down your thoughts.
If you are a patient on our Inpatient Unit and would like to speak with our Hospice Chaplain or someone from your faith or humanist group – please let one of the nursing team know.
In your home
Our Hospice Chaplain works closely with spiritual leaders of all faiths across Bexley and Royal Greenwich boroughs and can arrange for someone to visit you and your family in your own home.
We are happy to help you organise and make arrangements for special events – christenings and naming ceremonies, marriages and civil partnerships.
An annual event at the Hospice to gather with families and friends to remember your loved one – an opportunity to place a stone, light a candle, and reflect on their life. We welcome children at this event.
